What are the main attractions in Luxor?

Some of the main attractions in Luxor, Egypt include:


1. The Valley of the Kings:

This valley is the site of the tombs of the pharaohs of the New Kingdom, including the tomb of Tutankhamun.


2. The Temple of Hatshepsut:

This temple, located in the Deir elBahri complex was built for the powerful female pharaoh Hatshepsut and is
considered one of the most beautiful temples in Egypt.


3. The Temple of Karnak:

This temple complex is the largest ancient religious site in the world and contains several temples, including the
Temple of Amun and the Temple of Khonsu.


4. The Luxor Temple:

This temple, located in the city center, was built by the pharaohs Amenhotep III and Ramses II and is known for its wellpreserved statues and hieroglyphics.


5. The Ramesseum:

This temple, located west of the Nile, was built by Ramses II in honor of himself and is known for its large statue of the pharaoh, known as the “Colossi of Memnon.


6. The Colossi of Memnon:

These two 20-meter-high statues are representing the pharaoh Amenhotep III, located on the west bank of the Nile.
